Meet the Cast: Runner

Following on from the introduction we gave to the Shambler the other day, we now have another zombie ready and on the ‘boyle’ (pardon the pun) – this one is the “Runner”.

Being very imaginatively named, the “Runner’s” most dangerous attribute is his speed. While this zombie may not do as much damage as his big brothers; his Usian Bolt like pace makes him a nightmare to deal with. Forget the bumbling antics of the Shambler, this little guy is able to stumble run past his slower cousins and rush up through your defenses in a flash.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled for this fast and sneaky set of teeth on powerful legs – this zombie is more than willing to work for his next meal!

Tools for the job: The rifle

You’d be surprised – rifles aren’t just for keeping the King of England from pushing Americans around, they also do a pretty good job at flattening the undead.

The rifle is the Zogma coinsures zombie killing weapon. It doesn’t have the fire hose effect of the machine gun or the sausage making power of the shotgun, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have its own charm.

Like Tyson the rifle works slowly but hits hard. The heavy slug it fires is more than capable of punching through a string of zombies. It also has range on its side and believe me – when zombies are lurking behind their friends doing nasty things (things we’ll reveal in a post soon) – you’ll want the range the rifle gives you!

Meet the Cast: Shambler

Guys,

Today I’m pleased and honored to introduce you all to an old and dear friend: the “Shambler” zombie…

As the first zombie posted up it’s fitting that the “Shambler” is the runt of the zombie litter. He is a slow, stumbling, moaning, lurching member of the undead, with about as much get up and go and general intelligence as a call centre worker on a Monday morning…  You’ll instantly recognize the “Shambler” from more B-Movies than you could point a pump action shotgun at.

In the zombie army he plays the role of Russian infantry – surging forward in large numbers, his attacks often ending in blood splattered failure! Vulnerable to everything from a stiff breeze up, he is only really deadly in very large numbers.

Beware though – slow and weak he may be; like all his undead friends he will leave some nasty teeth marks if you let him get up close!
